Parsippany, NJ – October 1, 2025 – Solix, Inc. (Solix) announced today that Andrea Thompson, CEO of the Dakota State Applied Research Corp. (DARC), is joining its Board of Directors.
“The addition of Andrea comes at a time of significant momentum for Solix, and I am confident that her exceptional skills and experience will help drive the organization’s growth well into the future,” said Gil Medina, Chairman of the Board. Retiring Solix Board member John Parry added, “Andrea is a fantastic addition to the Solix Board. I am thankful for the past 25 years as an employee and Board member of Solix, and I am confident that Andrea will bring vision, commitment, and unique perspectives to the Board.”
Andrea’s 28-year career as a decorated Intelligence officer in the U.S. Army included serving as the Chief of Staff for the Under Secretary of the Army and National Security Advisor to two U.S. Congressional committee chairmen. After retiring from the military, Andrea served as Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States, National Security Advisor to the Vice President, and Senate-confirmed Under Secretary of State providing foreign policy advice on national security and cybersecurity issues.
In her role as CEO of DARC, Andrea leads a team of cybersecurity experts who assist companies and government agencies in addressing complex and evolving cyber threats. Under her leadership, DARC has built a trusted reputation for protecting the digital assets and networks of small businesses and Fortune 100 enterprises. Andrea’s prior industry experience includes serving as Vice President of International Programs at Northrop Grumman.
