Peter Tyrrell was appointed Vice President and General Counsel in October, 2005. He is responsible for providing legal counsel to Solix, Inc., its Executive Team and Board of Directors. His areas of legal expertise includes corporate, anti-trust, litigation, state and federal regulatory, real estate, marketing, telecommunications, contracts, new business opportunities and related legal matters.
Tyrrell has over 25 years of senior-level general counsel and management experience. Prior to joining Solix, he created the Telecommunications Practice Group at Levy & Droney, PC and served as its co-chairman. He began his 40 year legal career in private practice, moving on to Southern New England Telecommunications Corp. (SNET), where he became a senior attorney and eventually General Counsel for SNET Cellular, Inc. and SNET Mobility, Inc.
Tyrrell holds a B.S. from Villanova University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. He is a member of The Corporate Bar, The American Bar Association, and the Connecticut Bar Association and holds licenses for the United States Supreme Court, Second Circuit Court of Appeals, Federal District Court, Connecticut and the State of Connecticut. Tyrrell has a limited in-house New Jersey license to practice law.
